Yes, we got the loose diamond this morning... despite the fact that FedEx told us
over the phone that it was still in Cedar Rapids (the reason it was stuck
there, by the way, was that a UPS plane had skidded off of the runway
yesterday morning). We went down to the FedEx office here this morning,
they searched around and, Voila! one exceptional diamond!
Pam is very pleased, as am I. The diamond looks absolutely brilliant!! We
visited two jewelers this morning to view some settings. We thought the
diamond looks fantastic on a platinum setting, and the jewelers agreed.
It is a beauiful diamond at an outstanding price, but I must say that I
would have happily paid a premium for the tremendous service and thoughtful
consideration you exhibited with us. I can not begin to describe how
appreciative we are, and that is something on which you can not put a price.

I received the loose diamond this morning.
Everything on the shipping end worked fine. Fed Ex delivered to a central
Mail Service, despite the reference to my building. But I had already
called Mail Services and alerted them to look for a fed ex package for me.
Everything was well wrapped and very secure. I am so happy.
And of course the big prize, the actual diamond is beautiful.
Thanks so much for all your help and patience in answering all my questions.
I have called our jeweler in town and will drop off the Marquise at lunch.
Hopefully Joy will have it by this weekend. I'll let you know how Joy likes the stone.
I showed the Marquise to a few people at my office and they were very
impressed with the brilliance of the diamond - and of course the size - it's
a carat too! Also having the diamond holder worked very well for showing off the diamond.
And the GIA Certification is professional looking and a great security for
me. That was a nice touch to send the calculator - helped me to call you right
away as it had your phone number on it. Thank you.

long time to get the ring made, about a month. I picked the ring up last
Friday and gave it to Joy. She is very happy with the ring and the diamond. I
think the setting

attention on the stone and to elevate it and make it appear almost bigger than a

By the way - I took quite a long time to examine the
diamond in the setting at the jewelers. Even with the 10x loop I could not
find any black dots and the inclusions were mostly covered by the prongs. So
the diamond looks very
clean even under magnification.
