The diamond finally arrived today. Apparently
it arrived at Customs on Saturday and they called me on Monday to apply for some
number or something. I rang them on Wednesday to find out what was happening
and found that there was import tax to pay. Once I arranged that it was on the
way and arrived this morning.
We are going to see about having the ring made
tonight so its finally all coming together!
Thanks for your help - it was so easy (once we
finally made up our minds what to get), and the diamond is lovely. Much bigger
than I thought it would be. We had it checked over by a gemologist who approved
it all and suggested we get a setting with six clasps and a metal band.
Can't wait to show it off and tell everyone
where we got it from.

We received the diamond on
Friday and it is everything we expected it to be! It is a very beautiful
diamond. We have had two certified gemologists look at the diamond and
both confirmed that the statistics were accurate. One even said he may
have rated it a VVS2 (versus its VS2 GIA rating).
We are having the diamond
set on Ann's original ring/setting, just replacing the head.
